This websites has been in existence - in one way or another - since April 15, 2002. Since then it has underwent multiple major changes in both content and layout. On this page I shall briefly discuss all of those previous designs, alongside with several other websites created by me.

In its early stages, my philosophy was to assemble and provide as much information on certain subjects as possible. These initially included Star Trek and Star Wars, and later on it even had content on The Lord of the Rings. It was in August 2003 that I first created a website dedicated to history - both real world and Star Trek, at the time.

But let us begin at the beginning. The first website I created was very basic and simple, and I created it in early 2002. However, since I did not have a host at the time, this site was never published online. The first that did see the light online was the design above. It included information on the Star Trek series, as well as information on its science and treknology. Shortly after publication, however, I decided to replace it was a whole other design.

Which was the one pictured above (this was actually the second incarnation of that design; at first it didn't include the drop-down menu's, but simple text-links). Alongside with the Star Trek information, it included various databases on Star Wars, the Lord of the Rings, Morrowind and history. Much of the Star Trek and Star Wars content was taken from other websites, so not much originality there...

That, however, was going to change. Still using Internet Explorer in those days, I thought the above layout looked rather neat, though when using Mozilla, the content appears underneath the i-frame. Anyhow, this website included historical information combined with Star Trek history, most of which was written by myself. I was really proud of it - for about two weeks.

As soon as the previous design was finished, I started working on something new, using a website template found somewhere on the web. The above was the final result, an extended database on real world and Star Trek history, and with additional articles on philosophy and politics. Also, it was the first to feature classic science-fiction pages.

Soon after, the design was updated. And again. The first update was merely a colour- and font-update, while the third was somewhat more fundamental. Although it still kept the basics of the previous layout, it looked far more elegant. Not much changes to the content, so far.

Of course I couldn't sit still, and using the colour scheme of the previous, this is the layout that came out of it, using drop-down menu's, and being the first to feature Star Trek concept art. Eventually, I also had some Star Wars concept art included, but due to space limitations was forced to remove those. Additionally, by interest in the Third Reich and Albert Speer architecture had grown, so the sections concerning those (which where already present in the previous design) were heavily expanded, featuring much more information and images. This was also the first time all history pages were updates; most was rewritten completely.

Eventually, I changed the colour scheme to red, using the same layout. Soon after, I came up with the current design, using the red colour scheme, and featuring more or less the same information, though of course new was the victorian steampunk section. Also, the Third Reich pages were heavily expanded with articles on mysteries and occult, and much more content was added to the Star Trek concept art pages, now called Forgotten Trek.
