From the Voice of Vivec:

(TORNHOLD) -- Mere days after the signing of a Friendship Treaty with the Most Serene Republic of Dystopique earlier this week, Holy Indoril Air Force officials here have admitted that at least two War Zeppelins recently ventured into Dystopique's air space by accident.

The two heavily armed dirigibles reportedly entered the Most Serene Republic's air space two days prior to the signing of the treaty. They toured part of the country's industrial south-west extensively before returning to international air space over the Middelsee. Air Force officials blame the incursion on pilots' inexperience with the zeppelins' navigational systems.

The Holy Indoril Air Force recently acquired 16 War Zeppelins, making it the largest air power in the Blazing World.

The Vivec Government has offered apologies to its authoritarian Dystopique counterpart along with assurances that no aggressive military action of any kind is currently under consideration. A response from Dystopique has yet to be received in the capital. One administration insider, who spoke on condition of anonymity, for breach of the Palace's code of secrecy may cost him either his job, his head, or both, indicated that the God-King has already had many sleepless night over Dystopique's persistent silence on the matter.

Re: Blazing World Round 1

Telegram to the ambassador of Holy Indoril in Dystopique:

Re: Blazing World Round 1

Letter from: President Freidson of Selemond to: Lord Vivec of Holy Indoril.

Your Holiness,

My nation is, as you know, a mix of a variety of religions - we take personal choice and freedom very seriously. Though most well known for worship of the Blessed Moon Goddess, one can find all sorts of religions in our streets - worshipers of the Primal Pantheon, priests of the Church of Two Lovers, adherents to the Raven Martyr, monks of the Tidal Gods, etc. etc.

Of late, we have welcomed and recognized a new religion gaining popularity, especially among Indorilian immigrants - the worship of you, the God-King. Already there is a cathedral being finished in your honour in the bustling city of Rilleberg.

I see this an opportunity to increase friendship between our nations. I humbly invite you to attend the opening of this institution and bless it. This would prove to the World the unbreakable tolerance of Selemond, while, in the same stroke, showing the reach of your own influence and stature.

(This is something that may be increasingly important for you since there have been rumours of some new "God-King" worshipped by these "jaguar" people. Even as one striving for religious tolerance I am wary of the affect of having TWO God-Kings in the same world!)

This attendance could also be an opportunity to further discuss co-operation in different areas, such as trade, as prosperity is something we both strive for. (And to, perhaps, exchange notes on the worrying concept of this second "God-King". My greatest fear is that the Blazing World could be divided in twain depending on which of you each nation sympathizes the most with.)

If you do send a reply of agreement, we will start at once organizing hospitality and celebrations. (The imposing and elegant Gray Palace near Rilleberg has recently undergone renovations and  is my suggestion for lodgings).

Please, take the time you need to consider this proposal.

Yours in honesty,

Sammael Freidson
