THE COALITION OF INDEPENDENT NATIONS: With the fall of most western alliances during and after WWIII, and with the birth of new ones, several nations stood suddenly alone between new created powers. Nations like Germany, Korea and Switzerland feared to be absorbed by other powers or to be cutted of and become satellite states of them.

With the new Soviet Union expanding to the west, Germany realised as the first nation that it could not longer stood alone, especially  in Europe where the British Empire was at the west, the Soviets to the east and the NEU to the north. Germany anal iced the situation and contacted Nations in a very similar situation to them. In a very short time Germany, Korea, Switzerland and Canada meet in order to discuss the new alliance that was to be born.

All agreed that the alliance should be founded on mutual protection and cooperation. Six months later the five founding members, Germany, Korea, Switzerland, Canada and Constantinople signed the foundation act of the I-9 that at that time was still the I-5.

In the coming years only 4 more nations where admitted to join the I-9, being those Chile, New Zealand, Portugal and Singapore. Currently Malta, Dubai, Ecuador & Malaysia are requesting membership in the I-9

Military: Since its birth of the I-9, almost three decades ago, it has lived through several changes in its Military structure.

At the foundation the main goal was mutual protection in case of an aggression against one of its members. But soon the members realized that they where often to wide spreaded to react in time. For that, and in order to operate in international operations, an all time ready task force was created.

With the pass of the time the task force grow bigger under wearing several changes, like the fusion of the Air, Land and Sea sections into one military structure, until taking finally over the overall defence of the I-9 member nations. I-9 member nations still have regional controlled military forces who are mainly composed of national guards, coast guard an other civil defence forces or units orientated towards defence.

The mission profile of the I-9 Military is since its creation orientated towards a quick intervention rather than a prolonged conflict. For that there almost completely autonomous task groups, who are represented all over the world, are highly flexible and mobile. With the technological lead of the I-9, the I-9 military is currently the technological most advanced on earth. Since the I-9 doesn’t release to much information it is not clear how big the lead is though experts agree that it is at least 15 years to the UPR and the British Empire, if not more.
